Anna Taylor, lead singer, 18, has no fear of the stage and spotlight. She was the Rockestra “American Idol” winner in Sioux City, Iowa, and went on to become a contestant on NBC’S sixth season of “The Voice” where she sang before esteemed singers and songwriters Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira. Evan Kaler, lead guitarist/vocals, 18, is an original member.  He is a multi-talented musician who is gifted with a number of instruments, but has found his calling as the lead shredder on the six strings in 35th and Taylor.

Other members Jack Osborn, bass, 16, and Max Miller, drums, 17, are the newest members of 35th and Taylor and were both welcomed into the group for their contribution of energy, sound, and musical flexibility.

This up and coming group has been sharing the stage with experienced bands since 2012, playing in markets in and around the Midwest. The band originated out the Sioux City metro, are the hottest thing in the Iowa area, and are quickly growing recognition. Opening and sharing the stage with bands such as Judd Hoos, Kat Perkins,  Melissa Etheridge and soon, Andy Grammer and Echosmith they are well on their way toward bigger crowds, venues, and stages. In the process of writing a new album, the band is showcasing all of their original songs on their iTunes, YouTube, and Facebook platforms. To demonstrate their wide range of musical ability the band covers material from Elvis, Green Day, The Beatles, The Animals, and Lorde. Although it’s a pleasure to hear their versions of other’s work, nothing can quite match their own sound. “All American Nomads” and “Voices” are two single releases that are a great depiction of these young artists’ signature brand and style. Don’t miss your chance to witness this untarnished, electrifying group in person, in South Dakota, Minnesota, and of course Iowa. Of those who have seen the band live, John Luebke (Sioux City Rockestra Founder/Director) may be the most excited to see them get credible recognition. He said he has “inner peace that other people will feel the same way I do” about 35th & Taylor and their talent.

Their original music has been aired on Clear Channel as well as Powell Broadcasting stations.

In 2015, the band, originally named “November 35th”, was awarded the “Spirit Award” by the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association Hall of Fame by unanimous vote for their contribution of the youth and future of rock and roll in Iowa.
